We were complete strangers when we met Charlie at an open house last fall. We explained to him that we were looking for a new house and although we didn’t care for the one that he was showing that day, he took us under his wing and showed us some others the next day. That was just the beginning. He helped us through the sale of our home of 44 years. Everything went smoothly without a problem.We decided to build a custom home and Charlie was there with us and guiding us all the way. Although this story does not have a happy ending as our builder lost his financial backer about half way through the building process, Charlie hung in there with us and went way beyond the call of duty. Our builder became very difficult to work with but Charlie worked endlessly hour after hour, day after day, week after week. We had worked so hard and saved our whole lives so we could have our dream home and were extremely disappointed when we had to give up the idea of ever fulfilling our dream because of too many builder problems. This meant Charlie never received a commission check for all of the extra effort he had put in. All of his work was down the drain for nothing. Of course, he never said anything to us about it, but it had to be a terrible blow for him and his family. I felt so bad for him. We both went in the hole on this one.But Charlie never quit or gave up on us. After showing us houses for a few days, Charlie found the perfect house for us. We have moved in and are getting settled. We absolutely love this house. In fact, I think we like it better than the one we were having built.Charlie deserves special recognition because of his dedication and hard work for us and that is why I am writing this statement.
